I Wish and Hope
I wish I was perfect,
But without flaws, a creation is lifeless,
As mistaken as I'd be,
I hope I'm a better person than yesterday.
I wish I was good-looking,
But they say looks can be decieving,
So what good does being beautiful do,
If only the ugliest souls come near you.
I wish I was intelligent,
Then I'd be awarded for my merit and intellect,
But intelligent people suffer the most,
For they have to bear the stupidity of the rest.
I wish I was in love,
But it comes at a cost of fearing to lose them,
This fear pushes me away from the closest of my people,
I hope somebody teaches me to love.
I wish I was a better friend,
For I've lost more people than I've met,
But my friends are what make me perfect,
I hope they think I'm a good friend.
I wish I was a better writer,
I could think of fancier words and better rhymes,
Although art is admired in it's simplest form
I hope somebody likes my art.
