Dear Sky

 Dear sky,

You cried today,

And i cried with you today too.

We both lost something important to us,

It was either the warmth of the sun,

Or someone we used to love.

But we really shouldn't cry you know,

People started to worry for you,

And the people they loved.

I didn't realise that our tears would bring others pain.

Dear sky,

We're not really different from each other,

We bring light to those in the dark,

And night to those who are tired,

We care for everyone,

But nobody understands us.

We are judged for our actions, our silence,

Our efforts go unnoticed and our deeds are ridiculed,

And yet our independence is mocked.

I really wish,

That i could fly towards you,

Comfort you,

Speak to your clouds and hug them.

It's okay if i get drenched in your tears,

Because i know, no one has heard of your pain,

Your responsibilities, your expectations, your wishes,

They have only pushed you further away from what you wanted be.

But just once, dear sky,

Look below, isn't it beautiful,

The lush green fields are dancing and cheering for you,

The mud is well scented and is giving birth to flowers,

The young couple who were drenched are now hugging each other to keep themselves warm,

Children are making boats and sailing across the seven seas,

Oh Dear Sky!

Do not cry,

For you are our only hope,

If you wish, I'll stay with you and we'll tell each other stories of our life,

If only, i could fly into your arms.

Dear Sky,

I cannot comfort you,

For I've lost someone important to me too,

My tears are yet to run, and my eyes cannot bear this pain,

Your mist has blurred my vision, and now my memories are visiting me too.

Beloved Sky,

Looks like she is crying somewhere,

Hiding in the imaginary arms of someone she used to love,

Because pain can never be driven away,

It can only be shared,

Just like you gave us your tears.
